Research pertaining to Dallas County, Iowa is done by Society volunteers upon request and in the order in which received.

Please review our "Resources" page for a complete listing of our sources of information. Be specific with your request and let us know which resource you would like us to check giving us the full name, maiden name for females, birthdate, death date, and any other information you may have and specifying what information you desire. Please limit each request to no more than two individual names. We will do our best to locate information requested but please remember we are all volunteers. The requested donation covers our search of the requested resources, however results are not guaranteed.

You may be requested to reimburse us for out of pocket expenses incurred (i.e., cost of photocopies).

We will attempt to respond to all requests within 6-8 weeks. Please Note: Lookups are not performed from June 1 through August 31 to allow our volunteers a summer break. Any request submitted during that time will not be addressed until after September 1 (it could be October 15th before you receive a response).
