\par \cf1\f1 Funeral Services For Mrs. Barnes Set for Thursday\cf0\f0

\par \cf1\f1 Mrs. Fannie May Barnes, 82, died at her residence in the Barnsley community, at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday following an illness of 10 months. \par Born in Greenville, SC. March 20, 1866, daughter of the late Jim and Elizabeth Jordon Smith, she had been a resident of Floyd and Bartow Counties for 68 years and was a member of Barnsley \par Methodist Church. Surviving are the husband, Charles R. Barnes; one daughter, Mrs. Lula Lanham, of Kingston, Route 1; three brothers, R. C. Smith of Pelzer, S.C., Eugene Selman, of Williston, S.C. and J. B. Selman, of Rome Route 6; one sister, Mrs. Lula Williams, of Willston, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. \par Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Barnsley Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Coleston and the Rev. Russell Head officiating. \par Interment will be in Barnsley Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the residence until time for the services. \par Pall bearers will be six great-grandsons.
