Promoted Colonel of the Sixty- sixth Georgia Regiment, January, 1863, and served in that capacity until the surrender of Johnston’s army. The Sixty-sixth Georgia Regiment, and Twenty- sixth Georgia Battalion were organized by Col. Nisbet in Macon, Ga., January 1863. The Twenty-sixth Georgia Battalion surrendered at Columbus, Ga.
