CREATION OF BRANTLEY COUNTY An Amendment to the Georgia Constitution, approved by the Georgia General Assembly on August 14, 1920, created the County of Brantley, and designated Hoboken, Ga. as its first county site. Three years later, after a vote of the people, and numerous court battles, the Georgia Supreme Court changed the county site to Nahunta, located nine miles east, across "fire tower ridge," and west of the sunrise coming across Glynn Co.
The Coordinator of the GAGENWEB pages for Brantley County is Thomas Earl Cleland. We solicit your input.
