This project was designed to give researchers and others interested in history the opportunity to see Connecticut the way their ancestors did, through old photographs and postcards.

I am currently accepting submissions of old postcards and photographs of old homes, buildings, churches, schools, towns or regions, etc.  If there are any historic landmarks or buildings in your area that you would like to photograph, I will accept these as well.  However, at this time I cannot accept photographs of families or individuals.

To Submit Files:

If you have access to a scanner and can submit the file in the .jpeg file format, you may send it to me as an email attachment at CT-Genealogy@cox.net.  Please provide as much information as you can about the photo, such as a brief description of the item, the town, a date or estimate of date, along with any other information you may have.    For some helpful tips on scanning and how to get the best quality, please visit http://patsabin.com/VintagePostcards/scantips.htm

If you do not have access to a scanner and have items you would like to have put on the site,  I would suggest having a color copy made at a copy center.  These cost very little and usually turn out quite well. You can then mail it to me and I will scan it.  Also, some copy centers may also  offer scanning services.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions. please drop me an email.
