This Web Site exists to assist you in locating information about ancestors that resided in what is now Teller County, Colorado.

HISTORY

Teller County was formed in 1899 from portions of El Paso and Fremont Counties. The other adjacent counties are Park County and Douglas County.

At the end of the 19th century and early 20th century the Cripple Creek Gold Mining District in the southern portion of the county was a major population center.

The site is maintained by County Coordinator volunteer, Sundee Maynez.

The Teller County Coordinator does not live in Teller County and cannot do research for you. However, I do live in connecting county, El Paso County. I am able to direct you to people or resources who may help you in your search. If you would like, you may join any of the COGenWeb County Mail lists to access more information.
