COLORADO GENWEB PROJECT SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, COLORADO Welcome to San Miguel County, Colorado. I'm Vikki Gray, your new County Coordinator. All that means is that I handle the computer end of things. Please feel free to make this site your own. You are welcome to submit any San Miguel County data, photos, and any other information that you think would be helpful for genealogical researchers. And I wanted to extend a great big, thank-you to our previous Coordinator, Teri Cleaveland, for her hard work. Thanks, Teri! San Miguel county was created in 1883 from Ouray. The county seat is Telluride, which is located in the easterly, mountainous part of the county. Population in 1990 was 3653.
