NlGenWeb Frequently Asked QuestionsAre there certified genealogists to do work for me in NF?In 1979 I first started tracing my family trees. As with most people I started in my own lines and branched out from there. I now have seven lines traced back to England. In 1989 I started researching family trees professionally and am a Certified Genealogist (Canada) from the Genealogy Institute of the Maritimes. There are only four people in NF with this designation. All available records are searched, including church records, headstones, newspaper extracts, probate records, census records, other family and community histories and anything else that can be found. All references as to all sources searched are provided. I am fully computerized so am able to provide computer disks providing all information collected as well as the 'hard' copy. Generally I use Word Perfect 8 but have the capabilities of saving in a variety of word processing programs and also use Family Tree Maker. I also have a medical back ground and am especially interested in genetics. Please contact me directly to discuss your query and for rates. Debbie Jeans, CG(C) St.John's, Newfoundland |
