La Jolla Chapter
Daughters of the American Revolution

The La Jolla Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is an active and welcoming chapter. Organized in 1949 by Miss Angeline E. Allen, our Organizing Regent, we have more than 75 members from the San Diego/La Jolla area and meet regularly on the first Saturday of the month, October through June, except January.

The National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in Washington, D.C., on October 11, 1890. Today, the non-profit, non-political Society has more than 165,000 members and some 3,000 chapters across the United States and around the world, dedicated to pursuing our three objectives of Historic Preservation, Promotion of Education, and Patriotic Endeavor.

The La Jolla Chapter actively seeks both new members and opportunities to promote DAR objectives in our community. We especially welcome working women with Revolutionary patriot ancestry to join us.
