Brooke

"Catching Shadows: Ancestors from North and South--Who They Were, Where They Lived." Whittier, Katharine Brooke. Boston, MA: Newbury Street Press, 1999. Some genealogical or historical assertions may be debatable. Nonagenarian author and her close family, like some of her forbears, have had interesting political connections which help to spice up a sunny work of research and reminiscence. Author is both a fourth cousin once removed and a half second cousin once removed of contributor. MPR
