The society took great care to transcribe all they could, but listed many things they were unable to do because complete cemeteries were destroyed to make way for road work. I can tell you if there are photos, but mine won't reproduce well. You could then ask the 2 libraries in Mansfield if they can do good copies. JB3

This very large book, (645 pages) is the story of Gibsonburg Ohio, it's pioneering residents and their descendants. It is chock full of photographs, of the homes, people, churches, local businesses, etc. It's a terrific book, to acquaint one with the area of the early Gibsonburg, as well as some later photos. The information within these pages is extremely helpful in tracing your ancestors of this area. It lists any organization your ancestor was involved with; such as a church, The Masons, school groups, etc. It also explains what they did for a living, often has photos of their place of employment. It is thoroughly indexed, (74 pgs.) and lists a woman's maiden name, when available. RAS

It is indexed, but sometimes there are 2 or more persons with the same names (Sr, Jr, etc) so I will need more than just the name in some cases to find your ancestor. These biographies usually give names of other family members as well as general information about their lives. Very useful for learning more about them. N6
