"The Nickel Plate Road." Taylor Hampton, World Publishing Co., December, 1947. This book tells the story of a now defunct railroad, out of Cleveland, Ohio, called the Nickel Plate. The story is 335 pages long; in addition, there are 31 pages consisting of a Condensed Financial Statement; Appendices, Bibliography, and Index. I have scanned through the book quite a lot, and have decided there are about 20-25 pages of identifiable photographs. These range from professional shots, of several company gentlemen to the "workers out on the job" type shots. There is also a map on both inside front & back covers, detailing the route of The New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad, otherwise known as the Nickel Plate RR. I'll be glad to scan these for you, and check the book for any names the searcher would like me to look for. RAS
