Medical

"Directory of the American College of Physicians, 1931-1932." American College of Physicians, Inc., 1931. Has a listing of deceased physicians beginning 1927. To be in this book the physician had to be a member of the American College of Physicians. HB

"American Medical Directory 1936. A Register of Legally Qualified Physicians of the US and Canada." American Medical Association. This book lists all physicians: Homeopathic, Chiropractic, as well as graduates of standard medical schools. If an individual acted as medical examiner or county coroner they are listed regardless of their qualifications. There are some interns and residents listed as well. The oldest doctors listed were born in the 1830's. HB

I have a book that I can lookup where to send for information on men that belonged to the Mason's (a fraternal organization). I am sending you this because a few weeks ago, there was a lot on the internet about where Masonic information could be found. I just found this book, so thought maybe it would help some one. VMW

Directory of members, officers, judges, and local chapters (their meeting times, locations, and officers) of the American Orchid Society based out of the Botanical Museum of Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. Directory covers all of the United States and its territories in addition to quite many members world wide. Index is listed by last name and geographically by country and state/territory where applicable. Member listings include addresses. Bylaws are also listed. HLW
