YAVAPAI CHAPTER, NSDAR
Yavapai Chapter, NSDAR, was organized in 1981, and named in honor of Yavapai County.
We serve the majority of Yavapai County.
YAVAPAI COUNTY
Yavapai County was one of the four original Arizona counties formed in 1864.
Yavapai County was named for the Yavapai people. One interpretation of the word
"Yavapai" is "People of the Sun."
MEMBERSHIP and MEETINGS
Membership in the NSDAR is open to any interested woman over the age of 18 who can
trace bloodline descent to a Patriot of the American Revolution.
Yavapai Chapter meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month, September-May, at 1 pm.
Guests are always welcome to join this friendly, patriotic group of women for an
enlightening program.
For an invitation to one of our meetings, or to request information on how to join
the NSDAR, please e-mail our Chapter Regent
Julie Parsons Rouse.

YAVAPAI CHAPTER SUPPORTS
Yavapai Chapter supports a variety of community services and organizations.
Some of these include:
DAR Project Patriot
was begun in 2001 to support our active duty service men and women.
As part of DAR Project Patriot, Yavapai Chapter supports
Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) where many injured service
men and women are being treated for wounds sustained in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Phone cards are one of the most important items we send to LRMC.
PRESCOTT VALLEY MEMORIAL LADIES
Every veteran deserves recognition.
Yavapai Chapter, NSDAR, serves cooperatively with General George Crook Chapter, NSDAR
in the Prescott Valley Memorial Ladies. Modeled on the Arlington Ladies, we attend
the funerals of veterans in Yavapai County to honor their service to our country.
