Welcome!
Welcome to the website of the Tombstone Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, serving Sierra Vista, Arizona, and surrounding areas, including Benson, Bisbee, Douglas, Elfrida, Hereford, St. David, and Tombstone.
Tombstone Chapter was established in 1969, and strives to embody the DAR motto of "God, Home, Country" while meeting our objectives of Historic Preservation, Promoting Education and encouraging Patriotic Endeavour.
About Sierra Vista
Sierra Vista, Arizona, is located in southeastern Arizona. Sierra Vista is taken from the Spanish "Vista de la Sierra" or "Mountain View," attesting to the surrounding Huachuca, Dragoon and Mule Mountain Ranges. Nearby Ramsey Canyon is home to more species of hummingbirds than can be found anywhere else in the world.
Our Name
Our chapter is named for a local mine here in Cochise County. Our infamous neighbor, Tombstone, "The Town Too Tough to Die," was named for the same mine.
How can I join?
E-mail Janet Church or Deanna Sanner for information on joining DAR.
