AKERS I am researching a particular
AKERS line in Virginia. I was told this line was the origin of
the AKERS found in the Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona area.
apparently Johnathan Burl AKERS, born Sep 1845 in Virginia had
three sons that homesteaded land in the Phoenix area. Their names
were Will, Walter and Charles AKERS. Supposedly all AKERS in the
Phoenix area are descended from these three boys. A fourth son,
Burtis Lee AKERS, homesteaded land in Oregon. Is there anybody
who can add to this information? Anybody have AKERS who ended up
in Arizona? My info is sparse and I would like to know more.
