Unrelated Certificates
Our Group members Anna, Julie, Mary and Lila have completed indexing the unrelated certificates in our library holdings. This has been a mammoth task as anyone would know. Some certificates are very hard to decipher and a considerable amount of cross checking was carried out to provide as accurate a transcription as was possible.
We are pleased now to be able to offer the searchable Index on-line.
If you find a entry that you believe is relevant to your own research then for a fee of $5 (cheque, money order or 50 cent stamps) + a stamped self addressed envelope we will forward a full transcription of the certificate. Please note, only a transcript can be sent. By law photocopying and distributing such copies is prohibited.
All care will be taken in transcribing the full details however it must be kept in mind that with some certificates it is difficult to decipher all wording contained there in.
Have you considered donating your unrelated certificates to be included in the index.?
There have been several success stories come about from using these data bases.
So even if you don`t have any lucky finds yourself, you may very well be helping another researcher.
Our "Unrelated Indexes" are broken up into the following categories.
Each title is a link to "that" Index.
For $5 + a stamped, self addressed envelope, we will forward a full transcript, but keep in mind that a few words on the certificates are sometimes difficult to read.
Most however are quite legible. Many infact a credit to the Registrar.
