Socialist Party Has Nominated Candidates

Secretary George Howell of the Calgary Trades and Labor council, C. M. O'Brien the Socialist organizer, and both members of the Calgary branch of the Socialist party, have been chosen to carry the banner of Socialism for Calgary riding during the coming provincial election campaign. A largely-attended convention held on Saturday decided that such would be the course followed by the Socialist party.
J. Harrison was nominated as chairman. The vote taken for candidates for the Socialist ticket resulted as follows:
George Howell        32
C. M. O'Brien         27
A. Masters                4
The following campaign committee was chosen: F. Faulkner, A. Masters, C. Sayers, I. Churgin and C. H. Carter.
An appeal was made for funds to carry on the campaign and all wishing to contribute were requested to address their donations to F. Hyatt, Box 270 or at the committee rooms, 817 Second street east.
