The Cemetery Committee of the San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society has spent the last eight years trying to identify and locate all of the cemeteries in Bexar County. We also are trying to abstract the information from the gravestones in the many old family, community, church, organization, etc., cemeteries so that we can publish this information in a series of books in order to help people with their family history research.

"Cemeteries of Bexar County, Texas " Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3 and 4 have been completed and we are now working on Volume 5. We do not claim this list is complete or without error. If you know of a Bexar County cemetery that doesn’t appear on this list, we would appreciate hearing from you. We have a number of "mystery" cemeteries so, if you know something about a cemetery that we don’t know, we would appreciate hearing from you. If you see an error, we also would appreciate hearing from you. If you wish to be involved in the society’s cemetery abstraction project, we also would like to hear from you.
