Welcome to the Indiana County Pennsylvania Genealogy Project.

Indiana County was created by the Act of the General Assembly March 30, 1803, from territory of Westmoreland and Lycoming Counties. Named for the former Indian inhabitants. Indiana County is known as the Christmas Tree Capital and the home of the Jimmy Stewart Museum and the Jimmy Stewart Airport
