York Research Resources is a compilation of online references, books, articles, and useful addresses to assist with research in York Region. Books can be located using your favourite online library catalogue search, borrowed through interlibrary loan, or purchased directly from the publishers.

• York Region OGS Cemetery Transcriptions
  Over 130 cemeteries throughout York Region have been transcribed and published, and are available from York Region Branch OGS.

• Ontario Cemetery Ancestor Name Index and Cemetery Locator   
  A revised and updated version of the Ontario Genealogical Society Cemetery Collection which now includes a personal name index. York Region branch has now submitted 99 cemetery indexes for inclusion.

• Ontario Cemeteries Resources 
  Lists by county volunteers who will check cemetery transcriptions in their possession to locate your names of interest. There are several volunteers and many York Region cemeteries available.

• Cemeteries of York County, Ontario at Interment.net 
  A free online library of burial records from thousands of cemeteries across the world, for historical and genealogy research.

• York County Cemeteries at Field of Stones 
  This site focuses on providing pictures of pioneer or abandoned cemeteries located in Ontario. We have also added "donated photos" of various cemeteries found in Ontario. The cemeteries are listed under County/District and are group into Townships.

• Combined Search for South York Region Local History 
  Gives students of local history the convenience of searching all of the Richmond Hill Public Library's local history databases simultaneously. One stop access to historic (pre-1930) gravestones in 10 south York Region cemeteries, text and illustrations from the popular local history book Early Days in Richmond Hill, and over 1,000 photographs of Richmond Hill dating back to the 1860s.

• Historic Cemeteries of South York Region  
  The Richmond Hill Public Library has gathered photographic images and textual explanation of historic tombstones in southern York Region.

• Canada GenWeb Cemetery Project    
  This project aims to provide information on all cemeteries in Canada: where they are located; general information; and where to find transcripts.

• Historic Cemeteries of South York Region  
  This database in the digital collections at the Richmond Hill Public Library documents historic tombstones (pre-1930) of Southern York Region.
• Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid
  Some, but not all, York Region cemetery transcriptions have been indexed, and are included in the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid.
• OGS Cemetery Transcriptions at the Public Archives of Ontario
  The Public Archives of Ontario have microfilmed many of the OGS York County/Region cemetery transcriptions, and these are available through inter-library loan.
