This is the index page formilitry unites in the Civil War in which men from Van Wert county, Ohio served.  It also is an index of the casualties.

  Compny E, 56th Regiment, was raised 17 April 1861, and incorporated into the 15th Remiment on May 17, 1861 iat Camp Jackson, Columbus, Ohio.

  Companies E and H, 15th Regiment, were enlisted april 17, 1861 at Wapakoneta, Ohio. 

  Companies A, E and K, 46th Regiment, largely made up in Van Wert and Mercer counties was formed at Camp Worthington, near Columbus, Ohio.

   52nd Regiment was formed in August 1862.

  Comany A, 56th Regiment,  was organinzed in August 1862.

   The 64th Regiment was organized at Camp Buckington, near mansfield, Ohio, in 1861.

  Companies A, B, and K, 88th Regiment, was stationed in Colubsu, Ohio, to guard prisoners.
 
  Compnies A, E and F, 99th Regiment, was mustered in at Camp Lima on August 26, 1862. One comany was raised in Van Wert.
