• A BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY OF MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO
  

  The book "A Biographical History of Muskingum County, Ohio", compiled by MCCOGS, was delivered in late December, 2005. Contact us for info on purchasing a copy.

• Membership
  Memberships (available by the calendar year only) are open to all those interested in the pursuit of genealogical research. Single, Joint and Family memberships are $10.00. See the Membership Form.
  
  
• Meetings
  Starting in November 2007, monthly meetings will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm at the genealogy library located on the second floor of the John McIntire Library, 220 North Fifth Street, Zanesville, Ohio. There will be no meeting in December.
  
  
• Area Researchers
  A list of local members willing to do research is available upon request. All requests must include a SASE.
  
  
• Projects
  Special projects are promoted by MCCOGS and its members - All members are invited and urged to help.
  
  
• Publications
  MCCOGS members are actively involved in copying, abstracting and publishing the various written records and cemetery inscriptions from Muskingum County. Please see our

• Area Records
  Collecting, copying, preserving and making available to all the many Church, Bible and other records of Muskingum County. Donations of genealogical interest pertaining to the Muskingum County are accepted. We have been adding many Church, School, Subject and Family Files within the last year.
  
  
• Family Histories
  We have a large collection of Family Histories and donations to the collection are gratefully accepted.
  
  
• First Families of Muskingum County
  First Families of Muskingum County Memberships are available to any member proving an ancestor living in Muskingum County before 1830. We have recently added a second option for ancestors living in Muskingum county before 1850. Both full and associate memberships are available. Fee is $15.00.
  
  
• First Families of Ohio
  Applications for First Families of Ohio are also available to those proving an ancestor living in Ohio before 1820.
  
  
• Civil War Families of Muskingum County
  Open to members who prove a Muskingum County, Ohio Civil War ancestor.

The "MUSKINGUM" (published bi-monthly starting with February) contains chapter news, notice of publications and projects, feature articles to aid research, etc. Free Queries for members, non-members $1.00. Material may be submitted for publication and will be printed on a first come, first served and space available basis. The editor of the newsletter is Brenda Wolfe .
