Hooker Cemetery
Irondequoit, New York

line

This cemetery is located at 1500 Portland Avenue in the Town of Irondequoit, NY on the northwest corner of the property of St. Ann's Nursing Home.

During the 1950's the top layer of soil and some of the tombstones were bulldozed into the creek next to the cemetery. The West and Hooker family sites were not disturbed. The other tombstones were recovered in 1985 but some tombstones were in many pieces. Over many year, broken fragments have been assembled and made available for reading in the southeast corner of cemetery. Photos of some tombstones are available in the Town Historian's office.
