I have just found my grandfather, Arthur DeVere Carpenter, born in Napoli,
NY, (9/13/1866 - 8/4/1958) son of Charles and Harriet A. Palmer Carpenter.
Arthur married Grace Murdock (1874-196?) on 6/18/1890.  They had six
children.  Arthur was a student at Colgate University, graduated from Crozer
Theological Seminary in Chester PA in 1893.  He was an ordained Baptist
minister at several locations thoughout several states until 1907, and then
became a Chautauqua lecturer, and writer, and toured several countries.   I
found him in "Who Was Who in American HIstory".  Of course I am very excited
to find his family history.  I have searched your site and there are no
Carpenters there.  I don't know if he had any siblings.  Have you any
suggestions where I can search in that area?   I really liked your site, read
everything there, it is very interesting, and have printed the history of
Napoli for my records.  Thank you in advance for any information you can
share.
