Section 1--The officers of the Association shall be President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor.

Section 2--The President shall preside at the meetings of the Association and the Executive Board. The President shall appoint all committee chairmen and be an ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee.

Section 3--The President shall be authorized to sign checks and assume other duties of the Treasurer in the event of the inability of that officer to function.

Section 4--The First Vice President shall become President, if a vacancy occurs in that office, for the unexpired term.

Section 5--The Second Vice President shall assist the President and the First Vice President in the work of the Association, and in the absence of the President and the First Vice President, shall carry on the duties of the President.

Section 6--The Recording Secretary shall record the minutes of the Association meetings and shall provide a copy of the Association meeting minutes to the Executive Board prior to the next meeting.

Section 7--The Corresponding Secretary shall conduct the correspondence of the Association and shall be responsible for compiling and mailing of "Rubbings." The Corresponding Secretary has the right to delegate some of the duties to a member of NHOGA.

Section 8--The Treasurer shall receive all monies due the Association, collect all dues and keep an accurate account of the same, deposit all funds in the name of the Association in such banking institutions as the Executive Board may recommend, and pay all bills as approved by the Executive Board or by majority vote at a regular or special meeting of the Association. The Treasurer shall keep an accurate list of the membership and provide the president and Corresponding Secretary with a corrected copy of the same, six (6) weeks prior to each issue of "Rubbings." The treasurer shall close the records on April Thirtieth (30) and have the financial records in the hands of the Auditor at least five (5) days prior to the Annual Meeting.

Section 9--The Auditor shall examine the financial records of the Treasurer and present a written report at the Annual Meeting. A signed copy of the Auditor's Report shall be included in the Treasurer's records.

Section I--The following standing committees may be appointed by the Executive Board: Membership. Graveyard Records, Legislation and Laws, and Publicity.

Section 2--The Membership Committee shall actively promote the growth of the Association.

Section 3--The Graveyard Records Committee shall coordinate activities related to the preservation of records and historical information.

Section 4--The Legislation and Laws Committee shall promote knowledge of the laws relating to the purposes of the Association.

Section 5--The Publicity committee shall publicize the various activities of the Association.

Section 6--Each committee chairman may choose two (2) members to serve on their committee.

Section 7--Additional committees may be authorized by the Executive Board when deemed necessary.

Section 1--A Nominating Committee of three (3) members shall be established at the September meeting. The President shall appoint a chairman who will choose two (2) additional members.

Section 2--The Nomination Committee shall present its report at the Annual Meeting. Nominations may be made from the floor.

Section 3--The officers shall serve for one year or until their successors are elected. Their term of office shall begin at the close of the Annual Meeting at which they were elected. If there is only one (1) nominee for each office, election may be by voice vote. If there is more than one (1) nominee, election will be by a show of hands or by ballot if requested by two (2) or more members. A simple majority of members present and voting shall be necessary to elect.

Section 4--No members hall hold more than one (1) office at a time.

Article IX--Meetings

Section 1--Regular meetings of the Association shall be held in May, July and December.

Section 2--The time and place of each regular meeting shall be stated in the "Rubbings." The "Rubbings" shall be mailed to the members at least two weeks prior to the regular meeting.

Section 3--The meeting in May shall be known as the Annual Meeting, and shall be for the purpose of electing officers and receiving Annual Reports of officers and committees.

Section 4--All other business shall be transacted at any regular meeting.

Section 5--Twelve (12) members shall constitute a quorum of the Association.

Section 6--A special meeting may be called upon the written request of five (5) members of the Association. The purpose of the meeting shall be stated in the call, and no other business may be acted upon. Notification of the time and place of any special meeting shall be mailed to members at least to (2) weeks in advance of the meeting.

Section 7--In case a regular meeting must be postponed, the Corresponding Secretary shall mail notification of the new time and place to the membership at least two (2) weeks prior to the meeting.
