Ray County, Missouri Marriages, 1821-1850

Revised and corrected in 2004

The Ray County Missouri Recorders office undertook the project of correcting the early marriages of this county and recording them in the computer. The written copies (those that someone has undertaken to transpose into book form) of the Ray county marriages seem to have several mistakes. Filing dates have been taken for marriage dates and several names are incorrect.

Also, some records were not recorded until a year after the marriage, which means that it might not have been recorded in the "Marriage Record Book" that you assume the record should be in. It could be in the next marriage book.
