Thompson Family Cemetery is on a wooded embankment overlooking the bay near the mouth of the New Meadows River. The stone of Reliance Hinkley is the earliest known engraved stone remaining in Brunswick. The stones are flat fieldstones that may have been on the site. |

| These stones are weather-worn and difficult to decipher. We are using two resources to make educated guesses: The Wheeler brothers' "History of Brunswick, Topsham, and Harpswell" and Purington's "Meadowsweet", both available at the Pejepscot Historical Society.
