- pounds - Abbreviated lb, with some abbraviations appearing as #. Used for meat and fish, spices, flour, coffee, tea, salt, butter, twine. Flour was purchased in units of 7 pounds.
- bolt - cloth (duck canvass)
- cord - (128 cu. feet; a 8 ft x 4 ft x 4 ft stack of wood) cut wood
- dozen - eggs, fish hooks
- bushels - vegetables (beans, corn), meal
