  Note: The Wabash County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting Monday, September 15th at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Parking and entrance to the meeting room at the rear of the building. A short business meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Following, Paul Beaver will present a program on St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. Paul is a life long county resident and member of St. Patrick's. He is extremely well informed about the history of the church and the people who went there. Bring a friend!

• Newsletter
  The WCGS newsletter, Family Branches, is published monthly for members. It is approximately 10 pages, and contains information about upcoming events, Society projects, genealogy tips, and extracts from various genealogical records of Wabash Co. Queries are printed as space permits, free to both members and non-members.

  Copies of back issues may be obtained from Reading Room Books 264 S. Wabash St. Wabash, In 46992. They are bound in volumes of 12 issues begining with May of 1995. Volume One consists of pages 1- 100; Volume Two 101-214; Volume Three 215-344; Volume Four 345-473 and Volume Five 474-593; Volume Six 594-713; Volume Seven 714-833; Volume 8 834-963; Volume 9 964-1079; Volume 10 1080-1196; and Volume 11. Volumes 1-11 sell for $13.00 each plus $2.50 for mailing the 1st volume, and $1.00 for additional volumes on the same order. See Index to Family Branches Volumes 1-10

• Membership
  The Society began in 1995. By Jan 2003, there were 125 members. The membership fee is $15.00 per year which runs from July - June and includes the mailed monthly newsletter.

  A new limmited reprint has been made of the 1875 Atlas of Wabash County.

  This wonderful atlas contains maps of Indiana, Wabash County, Detailed individual Wabash Townships with many names of farm land owners, and major towns and villages. It also includes Wabash county and township history along with Personal Sketches of some Prominent Citizens and many illustrations. Cost is $20.00 plus $4.00 S&H. Send order to:
