QUERY: I am looking for information about Kathryn (Katie) Kramer born July 5,1874 Borkum, Germany. Her mother (Jashen or Johnson) died shortly after she was born. Katie came to the US with her father Weert Kramer. She was raised by an aunt and/or a wealthy business man so there last name may have been Kramer or Johnson (Jashen). She married John Frieden 10/10/1892 and they lived in and around Kankakee County for about 10 years. Two of their sons were born in Momence, John in 1900 and Fred in 1902. The family then moved to Wabash County, Indiana. Does anyone remember Katie? Her father is buried next to her in Wabash County but no one knows anything about him either. Any clues would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

QUERY: Bonjour, I am a descendant of Granger, Lebeau, LeCuyer and LeClair families who settled in St. George and Bourbonnais with my Great, Great Grandparents, Charles & Francoise Mathieu Granger settling in St. George about 1847. His Biography states, before arriving to St. George, that they first stopped in Aurora, Illinois. I found out later that other French Canadian families who eventually became relatives of mine did the same. Aurora which is about 50 miles west of Chicago was known to be a Stage Coach and Wagon Train resting stop. I believe my family stayed in Aurora just for a few months for rest, including their horses before moving onward to Bourbonnais and St. George. What I am looking for if it is available, is a map showing their migration route by land. Up to now, I think that the poor dirt farmers went by wagon train coming down through Wisconsin. Stopped in Aurora for rest and then proceeded to Bourbonnais. The French Canadian's that were well to do, went by the water ways, from barge to Steam Ship and landed on the shores of Chicago. But I am really interested on the group that went to the Aurora rest stop first. If you can help me find this map, I would really appreciate it.
