Leonia Cemetery, Boundary Co. ID
This cemetery was originally known as the Leonia Cemetery, but later
was called the Boulder Creek Cemetery. There are approximately 15 burials,
however, only 4 wooden markers remain. They are:

The following deaths are reported in the Kootenia Herald or Bonners
Ferry Herald. It is not known positively where they are buried.
- 1898 - John M Gorman killed in accident near Leonia 23 Aug 1898
- 1901 - Jack Conway, alias Phil Leigh, drowned near Leonia, buried 8
Sept 1901
- 1905 - O. J. Jones died in train wreck at Leonia 22 Mar 1905
- 1906 - James Melroy buried at Leonia age 26, 30 Mar 1906
- 1912 - Frank Blakely shot in Leonia Jun 1912
- 1913 - Tannas Mahall died age 29, 15 Aug 1913
- 1921 - George Henry Taylor buried Leonia, Aug 1921
- 1922 - Jacob Lang age 79, buried Leonia, 8 Aug 1922
In 1897 Leonia lost a ferry on the Kootenai River when a cable broke
and killed 3 men. They are buried in unmarked graves at the old town site,
about .5 mile west of the "current" ghost town.
