Susan K. Miller.  In 1969, my brother and I - Kenny and Susan King - stayed with Russell and Thelma DAVIS in HIAWASSEE. We came sometime in the spring and left in March 1970 when our father died. We attended the local school and I remember the yearly Heritage days. That year they showcased a real moonshine still and the moonshiner was allowed to come with police escort. Thelma and Russell lived along the highway 76, I believe. There was a drive in movie behind their house. It was a brick house sort of sunken into the ground with a large garage turned into a ceramic  shop with an apartment on top. The Davis' gave classes in ceramics. They were elderly and very nice and cool. Any information would be appreciated. I know they had relatives in Ohio, but nothing much about them. Please email me.  Thank you for your time.

Samuel Collins. Town of Hiawassee:  Isaac Coates and Rebecca were married in Cherokee 1857, Isaac was killed in the Civil War, Rebecca started keeping house for Samuel Young II Jameson, They had an illegitimate child in 1866 named Linton Jameson, he is my grandfather, he left my Grandmother in the early 1890's, said he was off to Texas to work the oil fields. Samuel owned the Jameson Cemetery, now Macedonia, I have found the gravesite, and the family head stones, my search is for Rebecca's grave, there is a large rock lying beside
Samuels grave, I believe that's to mark her grave, does anyone know. I have offered to pay for someone to probe the site, but got no takers. Samuel Y ll Jameson came to Union County around 1832, had hundreds of acres there, and many slaves, he was a representative for several years, seems there would be more there than I can find. Also would like to find Rebecca's maiden name -- welcome any questions or answers.
