Forsyth County was formed
            from Cherokee County by a law enacted Dec. 3, 1832.
Prior to Dec. 21, 1830 it was part of Cherokee Nation East.
Cumming, the only town, is the County Seat
The County was named for John Forsyth 1780-1841
