The Illawarra Family History Group was formed in 1984 to
encourage the study of family history, particularly in the
Illawarra area, and to assist members in the quest for their
ancestors no matter where they came from.
The support of members is vital to the operation of the Illawarra
Family History Group. Members receive the quarterly journal
Illawarra Branches, and are entitled to reduced research
rates. New members and visitors are welcome at meetings which
are held at 7.30 pm on the third Wednesday of each month except
January in the Old Wollongong Courthouse, corner of Harbour
Street and Cliff Road, Wollongong.
